The Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge is a program of the WT Enterprise Center, funded by the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation, designed to help entrepreneurs expand an existing business or launch a new business. Everyone who participates will gain a better understanding of how to develop and follow a realistic business plan, and qualifying entrants can request a share of $500,000 in capital funding grants from the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation.

All participants must attend an Orientation Workshop either online or in person. The Orientation Workshop is designed to help all entrepreneurs who are interested in applying for the EnterPrize Challenge better understand the requirements of the program.

The WT Enterprise Center provides business planning workshops in group format to discuss tips, best practices, and overall guidelines to be successful in the Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge. These workshops are meant to provide busy entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and time to be successful at writing their plans.

Our coaches are all available to meet with applicants to discuss strategy, build financials, and finalize business plans before they are submitted.
Our 5 independent judges will read and score the Investor Fact Sheets to determine who will move on to the next round. In the final round the judges with read, score and choose which business plans move on to presentation day. They will also provide constructive feedback on each business plan to help the entrepreneur succeed.

If your business plan is selected as a finalist, you will be given the opportunity to present your business plan to the judges on Thursday, February 18th, 2016. The judges will then choose which entrepreneurs will receive the grant funding to grow their business.
